The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will hold a news conference in Washington, D.C., to announce a major educational initiative in response to an extremist Florida church's plan to burn copies of the Quran, Islam's holy text, on September 11. CAIR's "Learn, Don't Burn" initiative involves distribution of 200,000 Qurans to replace the 200 copies that the Florida church plans to burn.

A weekly class on Imam Nawawi's "Forty Hadith" with Shaykh Ehzaz Ajmeri. Class starts after Maghrib prayer.

This lecture series is based on the work of Imam Bukhari Al-Adab-al-Mufrad, provides a vivid insight into the moral conduct of the early Muslims in a society led by the perfect character of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ('I was only sent to perfect good character'). The Prophet's words are as relevant today as they were fourteen hundred years ago.

This unique lecture series will take a look at the ahadith and athar from one of the earliest and most authentic works on Islamic etiquette and the Islamic way of life: Al-Adab-al-Mufrad.

Now begins after Maghrib Salat.

A weekly gathering after Maghrib prayer focusing on remembering Allah (swt) through silent, individual dhikr. The session begins with a short talk (10-15 minutes) related to increasing our connection with Allah (swt), and furthering our spiritual development. Afterwards a silent dhikr of selected adhkār is held, followed by a few minutes of muraqabah (self-reflection). All are welcome to attend.
